And as an extra special thank you, here's a free download of "Teenage Suicide" by those talentless Eurofags Big Fun, from the Heathers soundtrack and re-editted by moi. Enjoy!
As another little musical promo/taster for tomorrow night's Heathers party at the Flying Duck, I have put together a forty minute set of uptempo modern hi-nrg. See you tomorrow bitchiz!

Well it looks like Menergy is going to be a double tribute on Heathers night. We've just found out that the cult actor Glenn Shadix has died.
As well as starring as the priest in Heathers ("Eskimo!"), he was best known as Otho the interior designer in Beetlejuice, and lent his vocal skills to many cartoons. Here he is in a very fetching black suit and red tie ensemble:
And here he is relating the story of how as a teenager he was given shock treatment to "cure" him of his homosexuality.
Glenn, you were a great actor and an alt-gay icon. You will be missed!
If you can't wait til Friday 17th September and simply MUST have a preview of the music that'll be getting played NOW, then wait no more, for super guest DJ Teamy's done us a mixtape special!
Big up to all the folks at Radio Magnetic, where this is hosted as part of the Wrong Island show:
We fuckin LOVE Heathers at Menergy - the film, not the people (though they are pretty cool too) - so much so in fact that our next event is going to be a Heathers Party at the Flying Duck on Friday September 17th.
So why do we love it? It's funny, it's dark, it's sexy, it's classy and it has one of the best screenplays ever. EVER! Winona Rider and Christian Slater are both dynamite - the chemistry between them is so electric we assume they were a couple at this point - but the script is the real star. It shits on Tarantino in terms of delicious quotability, and has added so much new terminology to the modern lexicon as to be postively Shakespearean. Oh yes! "What's your damage?", "How very", "fuck me gently with a chainsaw"... the list goes on and on. It's the best written teen/school movie of all time!
And if you have not seen Heathers before - well, did you have a brain tumour for breakfast?! Get your eyes and ears to Youtube and clear the next 90 minutes of your life - you'll be glad you did!
