Supergay Detroit: Menergy

Check this post on a Detroit-based blog - Supergay Detroit: Menergy! Some unimaginative moron has LIFTED not only our club's name, music policy and description, but also one of Gregor's flyer images without any changes, save for the typeface!!! I get that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and all that, but this is downright embarassing. What I find most laughable is that they obviously thought we'd never find out. Pffffft. Raging.

    I dunno if the image is directly lifted off Gregor's original- judging by the background and the fact the cap's fully uncovered in their version, I'd say they sourced their image off a reproduction of the original Tom of Finland illustration. However, the colour-wash effect on it is so obviously like Gregor's original treatment, that if anything, it makes it even more obvious of a steal from Gregor's design, as they couldn't have just happened on that colour effect by coincidence.
