Luke Howard on Beats in Space

Our friend the lovely Luke Howard from the legendary Horse Meat Disco was on the equally legendary Beats in Space hosted by the equally lovely Tim Sweeney last night. Phew, what a mouthful. Anyway, Luke played a great set of downtempo disco, and was joined on the show by Manchester's cosmic guru Balearic Mike. Check it out!

Vauxhall is Gurning 2010

Horse Meat Disco's annual festival of shade and fierceness (aka the Vogue Ball) took place in London the weekend before last, and it was maje too. Menergy was in the house, there was a live PA by our favourite Hard Ton, and Glasgow even walked with Miss Chris from the House of La Vrai Beauté getting her banana out on the catwalk. Here's a video of the night, and stay tuned for news of a Vogue Ball in Glasgow pretty soon...

Horse Meat Disco at Melting Pot

Well, Horse Meat Disco at Melting Pot last night was very busy, very hot, and very fun! HMD residents Jim Stanton and James Hillard came up to plug their new compilation (number two no less) and to bring their gay disco vibes to Glasgow's masses. Pictured above are Horse Meat DJ James Hillard, our pal David Barbarossa (Glasgow's top straight bear) and Menergy resident The Niallist. The new Horse Meat Disco compilation is available on June 21st on Strut Records, and if it's anywhere near as good as the first one, it will be a damn essential purchase for anyone who likes disco or dance music. Here's a little teaser trailer of what is in store:

Horse Meat Disco 5th birthday

I was there beeatchez I was there!! It was one of the best nights out clubbing I have ever had - the atmosphere was simply electric. I must have danced on the stage for a good 2 hours - I hadn't taken any drugs but I could feel ripples of ecstacy flowing through my body. Man I LOVE this club!! :-D

Aw, ain't Jimbo adorable in this clip?!

Xanadude + Luke Howard

Well this new night in London looks like a TONNE of fun - and similar to Menergy to boot.

Luke Howard is one of the DJs at our favourite club Horse Meat Disco, and has also been resident DJ at legendary club nights Queer Nation and the Hacienda's Flesh. Here's a slow and sensual mix he's recently put online for your aural delectation:
